…. And I knew from experience it would be the end of the journey if I didn’t take action!
In the first meeting I had with Marina she said to me, «Action is Transformative» and I held that thought throughout this process. For me, I had the idea but Marina’s role was to Sheppard me through the process; to begin anywhere and acknowledge that the process had a beginning, a middle and an end and isn’t that always the tough part? «To Begin Anywhere»
Our work began with agreed upon milestones and deliverables. Each week after our meetings via Skype (I’m in Dallas, She is NYC) I received a summary of meeting notes and an action plan based upon our discussions. From there I was on my own schedule but frequently checked in with her just to share notes or ask questions. I knew I had a deliverable and a hard date and a draft to share via email prior to a meeting.
I kept a log during this process of touch points that I would often refer back to if I got stuck on something and this log became a history of ideas that Marina came up with even though she is not the subject matter expert in my line of work. What I find amazing in looking back over this log is the number of suggestions that Marina contributed to the process. The ideas seem so obvious to me know and I wonder why I didn’t think of them as I write this. But that is part of the magic. Two heads are better than one and one ‘iDEA’ a dream makes.

Working with Marina has helped me become goal and action oriented. Her ability to break down a big idea in to workable components helped me gradually build confidence in my own ideas and abilities. She is an extremely intuitive person which is why she is able to gently move an idea forward without you even knowing it! What sets her apart is that she is always there to recognize my accomplishments and help me to confront my weaknesses.
Most important of all Marina helped me to overcome the fear of being a business owner and artist at the same time.
Until I hired Marina Romashko. Six months after I hired her, my book was for sale.
She continually helps me organize and execute my ideas. My productivity since I started working with her has more than tripled. People often ask me, «How can you afford a coach?» I often respond,” How can I afford not to?”
Marina is an amazing coach, friend, and even occasionally my therapist. She has a brilliant way of adapting to the individual needs of her clients. She has been such a blessing in my life and has helped me accomplish some of my largest goals.
If you’re on the fence. Work with Marina. If you wanna get shit done. Work with Marina. If you have raging ADD. Work with Marina. It’s the best investment you’ll ever make in yourself, your talent, and your idea.
I kid you not, after one session with her I realized how much I did need to work with her — I saw how many ideas and tasks I had been ’planning to do’ but in reality I was not getting to. Despite my best intentions, there was a world of productivity and accomplishment that I was not coming any where near enough. Sitting across from Marina at our first meeting showed me also how much help I needed in thinking concretely about what steps are required to get to where I wanted to go, and how to think about everything in efficient and immediate ways. Within a very short amount of time, I was making progress in my business (my improv school) and also in creating new projects that I had assumed would take much longer to begin.
Why I always refer people to Marina is because she has a very unique blend of many talents you don’t find in someone with her job title. She is extremely focused and yet also flexible and very open. She is an extraordinary listener and can pick up on things that I haven’t realized I’ve said, which helps her figure out how best to keep us moving forward. She can also pick up on my own hesitations, fears or passions and excitements better than I can! And all of that data is extremely useful. Lastly, she has a magical way of knowing what doable next steps are at the end of each session, and knowing what steps are too big to take as well, so she’s always helping you be successful in whatever you take on.
Marina Romashko has had an indelible impact on my life. I’ve worked with other coaches — including master-certified coaches as well as former senior executives at Fortune 500 companies — and despite all of that, Marina is the first coach who I’ve truly felt connected to. She almost immediately makes you feel as though she’s on your team, as if your projects are her projects. She has perfect timing during meetings, and excellent intuition, making it so you always feel as though you are both in control and being guided. Combine all of this with a project management background and what you end up with are pure results. In less than a year we’ve overcome limitations that I struggled with for a decade, and made incredible progress on all of my ventures. I can’t possibly recommend her highly enough!
Then I met Marina! She helped me figure out exactly what I needed to do. Thanks to her I was able to zero in on what it was I wanted to accomplish and formulate a plan of action on how to get there. Since I started working with her several things have happened: I have a website and a blog that helps me stay in touch with my friends/fans/followers, I have started hosting events for not-for-profit organizations (for which I get paid) and I have written and performed my own one-woman comedy show to a sold out run and I am in the process of planning a multi-city tour of the show!
What I am most grateful for is that Marina thinks about my business every day. She comes up with ideas for how I can move forward, what the next step should be, who I should be trying to contact. She understands me at a deeper level than anyone I have ever worked with in the past — taking in to consideration my strengths, weaknesses and fears before recommending a course of action.
Everyone should be as lucky as I was — run, don’t walk, to Marina. Before she came along I had dreams, she helped me make them come true.
